Festival Dates and Activities

All the festival activities, including the WIFFEN Awards Ceremony, will hold at the Abuja International Conference Centre, Garki, Abuja 900103 Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.

Festival Sessions – 20th – 23rd March 2024. 9:00am – 8:00pm daily

Award Ceremony – Saturday, March 23rd 2024 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm (Red Carpet from 4:00pm)

WIFFEN Awards ceremony is a ticket-access event. A ticket admits only one.

The WIFFEN Awards ceremony is usually a black-tie event (in keeping with the theme of the festival this year, ‘Celebrating Women, Culture and Film, the dress code is strictly formal or traditional/cultural attire)

Protocol for physical and virtual participation in the festival

Physical Participation:

Visit the link to access contact information for your Embassy to get help traveling to Nigeria and arranging your accommodation in Abuja.

Send a mail with the subject: ‘Physical WIFFEN Attendance’ to let us know that you will be attending the festival so we can actively engage you in the room and to know if you will be physically available to receive your award during the ceremony.

Please, note that safety measures will be in place at the festival venue. Please, come with your face masks. And note that temperature checks and sanitizers will be available to conduct safety checks.

For the award ceremony, tickets are mandatory to get into the venue.
